The way we view our life, the moments and people in it, can become a dulled and diluted recollection of what is truly vibrant and rich. There is a motivation deep down within me to expose what others have forgotten, set aside, or unknowingly removed value from. My goal is to expose and rewrite the narrative of your daily journey. This narrative isn't important for you to see because it came from me and my capture but rather it's important because it didn't come from you. The most life-changing gifts I've received came from complete strangers and loved ones who reminded me of what I never knew or had forgotten about myself.
Our purpose and identity, over time, get dusted over with concerns and stress in each new day. We think only the big moments in life are worth celebrating and remembering. But what if those daily, messy, unexciting moments were what reminded you of your worth? Those that came alongside me to dust off what has been momentarily forgotten, gave a valuable gift...a unique perspective. Allowing others to recognize and celebrate what deep, beautiful and amazing potential lives inside us is what I believe is an incredibly brave and necessary thing. That is what I ask of you.
I do all the location scouting for my clients and will help them find a unique, inspired location to fit the vision for your session
I send all my clients an outfit guide to help assist them in what type of clothing will help them remain the focus, what will pair well with the location we'll be shooting at and what will photograph best and personally inspire me.
I get it, sometimes it's not only us that needs reassurance of why we invest in someone coming to take our photo....maybe it's a parent or a partner? I would challenge you to see that your investment is not merely in the photos themselves, it's the care, time, expertise, and experience that you're receiving. I personally have prepared for YOUR session for years now...through educating myself, investing in trustworthy tools, honing my craft, and helping to cultivate an experience that feels natural and joyful, rather than an awkward interaction. You're investing in a person who feels the weight of your trust in me. You are here because I'm not asking you to pay for a service; I'm asking for a partnership as we create art, connection, and memories together.
Art often requires investment. Something that is created well, with intention and deep thought behind that has taken someone a lot of time, experience and thought doesn't come at a small cost. We all, at one point, might struggle to see our own moments, our own bodies, and our own lives as worthy of such an investment. I hope to make you believe it is. Celebrate your life and who you are at this point in time, right now.
The value of a photo is more than the cost of having it captured. My job, my work, is really an investment in you. I have made my career about helping people to honor and celebrate who they are. Your investment not only gets you a new bestie, but someone who is dedicated to creating an entire experience for you and your loved ones.

Every wedding is different, but I have found that the magic number is 7-8 hours if you're having a more traditional wedding. This gives me enough time to capture everything from getting ready moments through to the end of the reception when the party is really in full swing! The more hours you choose, the more photos you'll receive...if that's something you value. For more intimate micro weddings/elopements, 3-5 hours is plenty of time.
I'm ALWAYS down for a new destination, a road trip, any adventure you're dreaming of! For larger weddings that are more than four hours away, I will include travel expenses (airfare + housing) with your package. When you inquire about a package that's right for you, I will already have those travel expenses baked into your overall cost, so there's no need to worry, sweat, or research on your end! If you're having an elopement that is not in the Northeastern United States, I have packages already created for YOU so there's no need to worry about the details; leave that to me. You just tell me where and when I'm already packed and ready to go!
Getting married is not an event; it is a sacred and unique celebration of two people entering into a covenant, but also a celebration of the people who have played a crucial role in that journey. We sometimes lose the rich meaning of a wedding celebration in the traditional elements we feel are required to have it be a wedding at all. But I challenge you to think about how you could honor the importance of your wedding day by eliminating all that could distract from what's most valuable. If you value an intimate experience, a day of undivided time with your lover, eloping or having a small wedding is for you. Consider beginning a new journey together with an adventure, a trip, or a hike to a beautiful place to share your promises and vows. No agenda, no photo list, and nothing is required of you but your attention to each other. Sounds like a dream, right?
If creating a payment plan will help you, then I'm all for that! No matter the payment plan route you take, everything must be paid in full by your wedding date. If, for some reason, you need some more time, don't be afraid to ask for some wiggle room.
Right here is where it begins, getting to know me, my story and to understand who I am as a person and as an artist. Just as it’s important for me to get to know you, I also care deeply about those who desire to work with me, to know my reason for why I do what I do. I want them to understand that I want to make real connections and create art with real people. I want to personally thank you for taking the time to read my heart and my story, I'm grateful you're here. I follow no formula, just a desire to get to know you.
A great way I get to do that with my clients is through an initial inquiry, the first step! Anyone can head over to my contact form and fill out all the details...the more, the better!! I would love to hear what excites you about working with me and how I can join in with your vision for creating personal, artful photography. Once I've sent you my in-depth pricing guide, we'll set up a phone call or in-person meeting to build a photo package that's best for your project while getting familiar with one another to ensure we're a good team! This is a great opportunity to have any questions answered; I'm here to help you in every way possible! Once we both feel confident in a partnership and what I've presented to you, we'll make it official through an online proposal and payment plan. Once your deposit is in, you will officially be in my books (YAY)!
"I don’t even know where to start. Ashtyne is AMAZING!! She went above and beyond to make not only our wedding photos but engagement photos exactly how we imagined them. She makes the poses look so romantic but feel very natural in the moment, she’s communicative and overall just such a good person and a talented photographer! We will forever cherish our wedding photos because of the hard work, dedication, talent, beauty, and natural feel she put into them!!
“We loved working with Ashtyne! We had her for both engagement and wedding photos. From start to finish she was both professional and warm. She made something that could potentially be awkward, so much fun and so comfortable. Throughout the whole process she was incredibly attentive and flexible. Her talent and creativity speaks for itself, but she completely exceeded any expectations we had.”
Lying somewhere between an introvert and an extrovert, you'll find that I value moments of quiet to think, pause and create during our time together. I get nervous too, don't worry.. it's because l am super excited to be creating with you, and I care deeply about creating a meaningful experience together! So know that when you meet me for the first time, I have been preparing for this moment. I've spent time reviewing your vision, generating concept ideas, researching locations, and praying over our time together. When we're finally together, I hope to reassure you that there's no need to feel awkward or shy, this isn't about the camera...it's about being present and a little bit brave too. I believe that my couples trust me, even before they hire me, and they know that we're not settling for boring, normal, non-emotive photos. To create something unexpected and unique, as well as utilize movement and unique positions, I will likely give you a prompt or a gesture to help you move naturally and become more relaxed. We'll have some laughs, maybe get dirt on our pants and likely leave with a crazy story to tell.
